Founded in 1865 in Le Locle by visionary watch maker Georges Favre-Jacot, The Zenith Manufacture was quickly recognized for the precision of its chronograph, which hold the world record for pocket watches, onboard watches, and wrist watches: 2,333 awards over a century and a half of existence.
Made famous in 1969 by El Primero, the first automatic chronograph with an integrated column wheel and high frequency—36,000 vibrations per hour—ensuring that exact time is kept to within one tenth of a second, The Zenith Manufacture now has over 600 different watch movements.
Each iconic Zenith watch is fully developed and produced in Le Locle, where The Manufacture is still found in exactly the same spot where its founder built his first atelier.
Located at N° 35 Rue du Rhône, one of the most prestigious streets in Geneva, the Zenith boutique invites clients into a high temple of Swiss watch making. Inspired by the historic architecture of The Zenith Manufacture in Le Locle, the boutique displays its timepieces in showcases that change with the seasons and exhibit new trends in keeping with the ebb and flow of tourism, while innovative décor reflects the image of the brand.
